The Power of Holistic Healing
By stimulating specific points along the body's energy pathways, known as meridians, acupuncture facilitates the flow of Qi, or life force, promoting balance and harmony within. It's a gentle yet potent modality that harmonizes the body, mind, and spirit, fostering a sense of overall well-being.
Experience the Benefits
Acupuncture, an integral part of traditional Chinese medicine, has garnered recognition worldwide for its multitude of health benefits. From alleviating chronic pain to reducing stress and anxiety, its holistic approach targets not just symptoms but the root cause of ailments.
FSN and Cosmetic Acupuncture Explained
Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling (FSN), originated from Chinese traditional acupuncture, is a therapeutic approach for pain related issues, especially for musculoskeletal painful disorders. This procedure is performed by inserting a special trocar needle into the subcutaneous layer. In some cases, FSN could provide immediate and significant relief of the pain in trigger points.
Although FSN originated from traditional acupuncture, its manipulation and theory have little to do with the concepts of acupuncture, such as meridians, acupoints, Yin-Yang, and Qi. Also FSN should be clearly distinguished from the narrow sense of dry needling, which is well known in the Western medical world. Dry Needling, which refers to the insertion of a fine, single-use sterile needle, into a trigger point for myofascial pain based on Western anatomical and neuro-physiological principles. However, the manipulation method used in FSN differs from that used in dry needling because each one follows different theoretical instructions.
After the insertion of the FSN needle, the manipulation of the FSN needle called sweeping movement is applied. Based on patient’s condition, reperfusion approaches are quite common method used during the treatment. FSN can relieve muscle contraction from trigger points and then improve the local circulation.
Facial acupuncture was originally developed from patients with Bell’s palsy or stroke. And the result of these treatments was so cosmetically pronounced over time that it was transformed into a program for anti-ageing and beauty, including facial lifting, fine line reducing and skin glowing. The benefits of facial acupuncture include two aspects. One is the benefit of “local” treatment and one is the benefit of “root” treatment. Local treatment directly addresses facial ageing symptoms while root treatment treats the underlying cause of facial symptoms such as hormonal balance, digestive problems or emotional stress. Both local and root treatments are performed in each session to provide the best and the longest lasting benefits. After receiving facial acupuncture, there is typically no recovery time required. You can go back to your regular activities. However, mild bruising can occur after these treatments and it will be gone around 7 to 10 days. Facial acupuncture is covered by most extended healthcare benefits under acupuncture treatment.
